TheĀ Trauma-Informed Relational Therapeutic Play Skills Certificate is an 80-hour professional development program designed for professionals and paraprofessionals who support children and youth in counselling, education, healthcare, child welfare, early intervention, community services, and related helping professions. Grounded in developmental, attachment-based, and trauma-informed principles, this certificate provides participants with practical relational play skills that can be integrated into existing professional roles and settings.
Participants will explore how play supports communication, emotional regulation, resilience, relationship development, and healing. Through experiential learning, case application, reflective activities, and a capstone project, participants will develop foundational knowledge, applied skills, contextual awareness, and practical intervention planning abilities.
Note: This certificate does not lead to certification as a Play Therapist.
